Connie and I visited New Orleans not that long ago, before my daughter was born, staying just outside the French Quarter in a wonderful old building with high ceilings. We enjoyed it tremendously. We loved the architecture, the food, the arts, the zoo, the special feel of the place and its very vibrant culture. So I am really distressed this morning about the situation brought on by Hurricane Katrina.
