NGP Softball season begins

The NGP softball team had a surprising good first game of the season tonight against our friends at the FEC. They had clobbered us last year so some of us feared the worst. But good performances were turned in by almost everyone. Thanks to all who showed up. We had fewer errors than expected and only one or two base-running mishaps. The game was dramatic, coming down to the last out in the bottom of the seventh, when the FEC came back from a deficit and tied the game up at 12-12. We got then got out of the inning and the game was called a tie on account of darkness. To those on the FEC bench who, according to our catcher, were talking trash—we look forward to crushing you next time.

Right on...but they really do need to look into their website!

I was hoping we could stick it to the FEC, but alas we were not able to hold on in the last inning. We'll just have to accept the tie and overload their servers with an onslaught of candidate filings.
